Catch The Summer With First Buses, Single Journeys For £2 When You Download The App, What A Bargain.Come To Halifax With Me ☀️🚌



hello loves, I have had such a lovely day out exploring whats to offer locally anyone who knows me and follows my blogs know that I love to get out and about exploring so today I headed down to my favourite little spot my beloved 'Halifax' and 2whats more is im trying to watch the pennies in the current climate so instead of getting my usual uber I opted to catch the bus and I tell you what I really enjoyed myself and whats more it only cost me £2 yes 2 of the Kings pounds to get down to Halifax, so literally going from A to B in under 20 minutes which I think is absolutetly brilliant.



before heading off out this morning I downloaded the First app from play store filled in my details and Voila it helped me to access quick and easy single fairs for £2 I love a bargain, I headed to Halifax and enjoyed a fabulous laid back afternoon away from my hectic schedule doing all things I love I headed to the famous Piece Hall for a yonder round enjoying browsing in my favourite little independent shops The Handmade Gift Shop  and Brown Paper Packages which both sell fabulous little bits for yourself as a treat or a present for someone, I could spend hours browing in both of these shops I love them and I couldn't not pick me up some new reads fromThe Book Corner I just love the whole laid back vibe of the Piece Hall steeped with history and so many things to look at it really is my happy place.

feeling hungry after browsing I headed to my favourite little foodie spot, being Yorkshire Food Blogger Of The Year I always love showcasing businesses and let me tell you Pride And Provenance  Is sublime and I don't use that word lightly I love the place, everytime I leave I am in food heaven and it just so happens today they launched there new lunchtime menu so I was happy to get involved the new Grilled Halloumi On Flatbread With Yoghurt And Pomegranate Lime and Chilli was a taste sensation and definetly tickled my taste buds, I obviously had to give into my foodie urges and try one of there famous Grilled lunch sandwiches and let me tell you they delivered a game changer, I love thay you always get that true Yorkshire welcome, P&P is definetly worth the visit and I will do my upmost to rave about them everywhere I go !!!!


Being In a food coma I had to have a walk and explore some more so I headed upto Westgate Arcade in the sunshine and visited my favourite little record shop if your looking to expand you record collection of that Tickles your fancy I always recommend a visit to Revo Records i love it, its dead hip and cool and they know a thing or 2 about music !!


On my travels I bumped into fellow Yorkshire lass and legend Hannah Cockroft OBE , She holds the world records for the 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres and 1500 metres in her classification and the Paralympic records at 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 800 metres we had a lovel catch up at my favourite little bakery 'Lucys Little Bakehouse' who serve the best baked goods and in my opinion the Happiest place in Halifax, im all for championing small local businesses !!

I am fully embracing the 'Catch The Summer' campaign First buses are running this summer I think its great for people and families to get about knowing the price is low and you can travel with a day rider giving you the freedom for £2 a day !!

This summer First bus are aiming to increase the number of people downloading their app and using buses this summer.

travelling by bus is the easy, often least expensive way to get to many fabulous local destinations,  especially when people are feeling the pinch due to the rising cost of living, Single fares have been capped at £2 till October! Exploring all day? Get unlimited day travel across West Yorkshire with the £4.50 FirstDay Adult Day Ticket when you buy on the app which in my humble opinion is a proper steal, I love that First are giving everyone the chance to enjoy there summer with fewer limits !!



eee eck I walked the walk today so after a lovely day, I decided to take a walk back to the bus station and downloaded my £2 ticket on the App and headed home enjoying the bus journey home knowing I had saved some dollar by getting on the bus, what a brucey bonus !!!

Gini's Boutique, The Happiest Little Gift Shop In West Yorkshire 💕✨️

Anyone who knows me and follows my blogging knows I love to rave about small local independent Yorkshire businesses and I couldn't let Yorkshire Day pass us by without telling you about the right small little Yorkshire hidden gem, I present to you, Gini's Gift Shop in Birstall, I love that the gift shop helps independent small makers showcase there makes with the rent a shelf basis, opening the makes up to a wider platform and the shop helps to get the makers brainchildren out to the bigger platform, I also love that there are only a few of each makes made and you can see the love and time put in, I loved browsing the cute little shop Nestled in small little historic Yorkshire town Birstall.
