Annie Opens Up On A Rainy Monday Night In Bradford, But The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow, A Top 10 Show It's A 10 From Me 🫢☀️❤️

Let's set the scene, it's a rainy Monday evening in Bradford but never fear the sunniest musical is in town, Annie came opened at The Bradford Alhambra last night and let's just say ' 'The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow' after last night's winning performance, how in my 30 years have I never seen the all time favourite movie Annie, let me tell you having not seen it I knew the songs well and the story left me going home with that feel good theatre feeling.

Annie was staged and set in the 1930s with the opening scenes set in Miss Hannigans home for orphans, where heroine of the story young 'Annie' lives her friends and savage Miss Hannigan played by Craig Revel Horwood, the orphanage is not an ideal home for any of the youngsters, they all have a feisty witty side and take on Hannigan at any turn, Annie who is forever trying to escape, happens to escape one winter's evening and meets her trusty friend Sandy the dog, I loved the little dog playing Sandy what a beautiful addition to the performance.

Young Annie's luck changes when she gets the chance to go and stay with Hero of the story famous billionaire Mr Warbucks and taken under the wing of the beautiful Miss Farrell for the festive period and soon becomes the apple of Mr Warbucks eye who quickly realises Annie's charm and wants to adopt Annie,  Annie who is quickly exposed to the different lifestyle away from the dirt and grime of the orphanage who is now living the life of a normal loved little girl and even has the oppurtunity to charm the pants off President Roosevelt despite the change in luck Annie still longs to meet her long lost parents so Mrs Farrell and Mr Warbucks decide to do what they think is best for the youngster set on a journey to find the parents with plenty of twists and turns along the way under the scheming eye of Rooster and Lily and Miss Hannigan who have their criminal eye on the reward money Mr Warbucks is offering to find Annie's real Parents, lets just say the trios scheming and toiling doesn't get past Warbucks and Annie and all is well in the end as Annie finally gets the love she deserves and ends up being adopted by doting Mr Warbucks who falls in love with Miss Farrell who then take on the other orphans, all is well and they love happily ever after, throw in some fabulous singing along songs and brilliant choreography and you have the makings of one of the best feel good MUST see touring musicals to see this year

The whole cast were absolutetly brilliant i was in awe of the very talented younger cast what and amazing bunch of kids, I was absolutely thrilled to see Stricly Come Dancing legend Craig Revel Horwood playing Miss Hannigan he was brilliant with a cracking set of pins and his chemistry with crooks Rooster 'Paul French' and Lily ' Billie Kay' worked really well and they were the trio I didn't know I needed !

I have to say a massive Bravo to the younger end of the casy led by Annie 'Poppy Cunningham', they were all absolutetly amazing and all very talented I can see a bright future ahead on the stage for the little loves.

I also have to mention the infectious acting chemistry by Mr Warbucks 'Alex Bourne' and the utterly flawless Mrs Farrell 'Amelia Adams' having not seen the film I was so happy they ended up together and ended up adopting Annie it hit me in all the feels.

Song after song were memorable classics,  the stand out singing performances whixh had to be my favourites were Hard Knock Life and Tomorrow all beautifully sang and executed by the talented flawless cast members I will definetly will be serenading whoever will listen for the foreseeable future.

I was highly impressed with the choreography sets and costumes which were all real show stoppers and a feast for mine and the audiences eyes, all the stops had been pulled out and you could tell .

I had such a fabulous time, if your local I highly recommend a visit to The Bradford Alhambra  this week to watch this amazing show stop production of Annie .
